Care Instructions

Thank you for taking the time to read about the care of your hand dyed yarn.

We dye all of our wool in small batches, this means there is potential for skeins in the same pan to look different. We always recommend if you are doing a larger project to make sure you have enough of the same dye lot of yarn and that you alternate skeins.

We prefer to dye your larger orders just for you, so we can ensure all your skeins are dyed in the same batch. If you don't see enough of the color your interested in please feel free to contact us.

All of yarn is hand dyed in a smoke free, pet friendly home (don't worry our dogs don't do much knitting) using professional acid dyes.

Although our yarn is made of superwash wool, we recommend hand washing in cold water and laying flat to dry. This will ensure a long life for your wool.

We thoroughly rinse the wool however you may experience some bleeding of color when you wash it, if so just add 1/4 cup of vinegar to help set the color, also available are Color Catchers that will pick up excess dyes. If you experience excessive color bleeding, please contact us so we may be able to help with any problems.

We reuse photos so you may not receive the exact skein photographed in your order. With our photos we do our best to represent the color in each skein of yarn. We also do our best to recreate colorways accurately. However some variations may occur, especially when it comes to speckled yarn.
